Local author Madaline McFarland has partnered with Tate Publishing to kick-start the publication process of her book, My Mom is not an Octopus.

Inspired by her own children, McFarland hopes to be a beacon of hope to moms and kids to make it easier for them to understand and relate to one another, and, at the same time, bring humor and fun to the household.

Madaline McFarland and her husband David (Coach Mac) both run a blogging site www.ignitingfamilies.com which serves as a platform that they are building to help and encourage families to become all that they were created to be. Madaline has been working as the Director of Elementary Ministries and Assistant Children's Pastor at Abba's House in Hixson, Texas.
