Local author Nicole Phillips has partnered with Tate in kick-starting the publication process of her new book, title to be announced soon.

Local author Nicole Phillips has partnered with Tate in kick-starting the publication process of her new book, title to be announced soon.
Phillips' book centers on her firsthand experience with domestic violence and the reasons why a person stays despite the insalubrious relationship.
"I want to get my story out to other people who are living in abusive relationships. I also want help people who are not living in abuse to understand those who are," explains Phillips when asked about the inspiration behind the book.
When asked about their decision to sign up with Phillips, Shannon Lloyd, Acquisitions Editor of Tate Publishing responds, "The abuse that Nicole went through gives you an insight of the pain that she had to go through and how she lived through it... Nicole Phillips started writing in college to convey her ideas and express her feelings. Despite counseling herself on never letting her boundaries be crossed, her abusive husband eventually got to her and she stayed and went back countless times. Now, Nicole Phillips is a single mother of two wonderful boys aged 9 and 24. Phillips is a firm believer of God and loves to crochet during her spare time.
