The Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations announces the design/build construction award for a new U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Caddell Construction of Montgomery, Alabama.

The project will provide a chancery, a U.S. Marine Corps residence, staff housing, a warehouse, maintenance shops, a utility building, parking, and community facilities, as well as a new street to meet city standards. Project completion is anticipated in fiscal year 2018.

The design architect is Yost Grube Hall of Portland, Oregon; the architect of record will be Integrus Architecture of Spokane, Washington.
