Local author, daughter of renowned actor to publish mystery/adventure book
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Local author Haylee Graham recently teamed up with Tate Publishing to publish her new series Centaurus.

When asked about her inspiration behind the series, Graham responded, “I have always been fascinated with Greek Mythology. As a competitive horse-back rider for more than half my life, I had a specific draw to the Centaurs. In 2011, I finished my first novel by the time I graduated high school and was instantly searching for a second story idea. I had a rocky upbringing and my writing was my escape. I fell in love with creating worlds so I could, in a sense, escape this one. However, instead of just writing for myself, I wanted to create characters that could help inspire, comfort, and encourage my readers.”
Graham hopes the book will inspire readers to overcome their ‘demons,’ sharing, “I believe every human being has a ‘demon’. Not in literal terms by any means, but a demon as in something that we all struggle with. Every person’s ‘demon’ is different than the other. Some are more exposed and bare while others are hidden and concealed. Centaurus is all about having the strength and will to fight off your hardships and obstacles no matter what they may be.”

Haylee Graham is the daughter of well-renowned writer and actor, Gary Graham. At twenty two, she had already written four novels that were all inspired by her personal life. Graham is also a co-founder of a music-based charity with a renowned DJ duo. Apart from writing, she also loves music, a good cup of coffee, and horses. Having been an equestrian for most of her life, Graham had always been fascinated with centaurs and Greek Mythology. Her need to drag her life into a mystical and different world led her to create Lyn Dyer’s character and Centaurus.
