NANT Announces International Neonatal Therapy Week

Celebrating International Neonatal Therapy Week, sponsored by the National Association of Neonatal Therapists

A full week devoted to celebrating the tireless work and dedication of Neonatal Therapists runs from September 21 through 27, 2014

CINCINNATI, OHIO, USA, September 23, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT) announced the arrival of International Neonatal Therapy Week. This seven day period is held annually beginning the fourth Sunday in September and ending on the upcoming Saturday.

Sponsored by NANT, its Corporate Sponsors and others, this week represents a brief but important window of opportunity to celebrate, thank and honor the world’s Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech Language Pathologists who support infants and families in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Current NANT members receive gestures of appreciation throughout the week to help celebrate the roles they play in the health and development of their patients. Both members and non-members are invited to spread the word about this week-long global celebration by visiting www.internationalneonataltherapyweek.com to read, share and comment on a Special Edition Article titled, "5 Myths about Neonatal Therapy, Hint: We Do Not Use Tiny Workout Equipment".

"Take the Neonatal Therapy staff out to dinner, bring in breakfast or lunch, pass out cards, or come up with other creative ways to recognize the people who mean so much to these infants and their families," exclaimed Sue Ludwig, NANT President. “The important thing is that we show our appreciation for the amazing work they perform and the level of caring they exhibit every single day.”

International Neonatal Therapy Week participants are also encouraged to share their celebratory photos via Twitter using #INTW and follow NANT on Twitter as well at @nanttweets.

"We’ve been looking forward to this week all year,” said Ludwig. “It’s a great opportunity to show our appreciation to these talented, dedicated and caring professionals on a global scale."
