August 2014 - Dominion, a producer, transporter, and retail energy provider in 10 U.S. states, has indicated that 50 percent of the electricity it produced from its fleet of power stations in 2013 came from carbon-free nuclear and renewable energy. Moreover, the company's generation fleet experienced a 24 percent reduction in carbon intensity from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, Dominion, added more than 200 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity which is enough to power 50,000 homes. In addition, Dominion reports a 33 percent increase in customer participation in Dominion Virginia Power's Green Power program among other achievements.
