The Energy Department’s Technical Assistance Program provides state, local, and tribal officials with resources to advance successful, high-impact, and long-lasting clean energy policies, programs, and projects. This webinar will introduce new Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) model documents developed by Energy Department experts and stakeholders. Featuring standard terms and conditions, reporting requirements, financial calculations, and content structures, the new resources will help streamline the ESPC process by offering an updated standard ESPC contract and new companion documents for the public sector.

The Department of Energy will present a live webcast titled “National Energy Literacy Virtual Town Hall” on Tuesday, August 5, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.  This webinar will feature a conversation about nationwide efforts to address energy illiteracy through the Department of Energy's Energy Literacy Framework. The webinar will consist of presentations highlighting national, new media, and local efforts using e-books, experiential curriculum, and best practices in energy education. Attendees will also learn about resources to help shape the teaching and learning of energy topics. The goal of this webinar is to share resources for energy education and provide attendees with opportunities to connect. Attendees may include teachers, administrators, science or STEM coordinators, and anyone else interested in energy education.

June 24: Live Webinar on Hydrogen Fueling for Current and Anticipated Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles

The Energy Department presented a live webinar titled "Hydrogen Fueling for Current and Anticipated Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles" on Tuesday, June 24. The webinar features representatives from the California Energy Commission discussing their recently announced Notice of Proposed Award for 28 hydrogen fueling stations, the evaluation criteria they used, and a variety of related competitions. In addition, representatives from Argonne National Laboratory will discuss a new tool for estimating the economic impacts of hydrogen infrastructure for early market fuel cell electric vehicles. The tool, titled JOBS and economic impacts of Hydrogen (JOBS H2), estimates the jobs, earnings, and economic output created by deploying hydrogen fueling stations.

The webinar is the first part of the Energy 101 Dialogue Series, which aims to identify best practices for teaching energy in the post-secondary setting, to amplify those best practices, and to support the creation of a community of practice of energy education experts.
