July 2014 - The city of Palmdale, CA, and PsomasFMG, California-based turnkey solar solutions company, partnered to complete an aggregate 976-kilowatt DC solar generation project. The solar project is located at Palmdale's Civic Center, DryTown Water Park, and Marie Kerr Park, CA. The solar project did not require upfront capital from the city. PsomasFMG worked with the city to develop the project. Constellation Energy, a retail electricity and natural gas supplier, financed the project's development and will own and operate the system. The city will purchase the electricity generated by the system at a fixed-rate through a 20-year power purchase agreement with Constellation.
