Danielle Elizabeth Roach hopes to study early childhood education at Emmanuel College

She is enrolled as a student at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Danielle Elizabeth Roach is a recipient of the Fred C. Wikoff Scholarship, a HOPE scholarship, and the Georgia Association of Educators Scholarship. She also received a Women’s Lacrosse scholarship from EC, as well as an academic award from the school.

At Emmanuel College, Danielle Elizabeth Roach hopes to study early childhood development, and she plans on one day becoming a kindergarten teacher. Early childhood education, as she is learning, is extremely important to the development of any child. The National Education Association says that early childhood education is one of the best investments that our country can make in its citizens.

As Danielle Elizabeth Roach knows, providing a high quality education for children before they reach the age of five yields significant long-term benefits. “One well-known study,” the NEA says on its website, “found that individuals who were enrolled in a quality preschool program ultimately earned up to $2,000 more per month than those who were not. The impact of education on a child is exactly what has drawn Danielle Elizabeth Roach to the teaching field. She always has been a dedicated person who has never hesitated reaching out to others. “I am a responsible, caring person who likes to help others,” she says. “I believe in service to others and hope to make a difference in the lives of others.”

During the course of her life, Danielle Elizabeth Roach has sought out a variety of volunteer experiences. She has worked at train museum and an animal shelter near her home, at local events like Taste of Suwanee and Suwanee Days, with Relay for Life teams, and at local elementary schools. “In my college experience,” she continues, “I also have had the opportunity to do community service as our team reaches out to others in the community near our school.”

Danielle Elizabeth Roach graduated from North Gwinnett High School, just outside of Suwanee, Georgia, in 2012. The school is highly rated, and most of the parents of North Gwinnett students give it high marks. That said, school was never easy for Danielle and she hopes that by working with children she can help them realize that with hard work and determination that they can be successful.

After enrolling in Emmanuel College in the fall of 2012, Danielle Elizabeth Roach became a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Academic All-American for her performance in the classroom while a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team. In 2014 she was named to the All-Region Team 2. It is clear that the dedication and commitment that Danielle Elizabeth Roach brings to the classroom, the lacrosse field, and to anything else she is involved with, is going to serve her well throughout her lifetime.
