Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) today issued a Sources Sought Synopsis/Expression of Interest seeking small business concerns with the capabilities to provide Technical Support Services to the DOE Carlsbad Field Office (CBFO) in Carlsbad, New Mexico. It is DOE’s intent to assess set-aside possibilities as a result of this Sources Sought/Expression of Interest.

The CBFO Technical Support Services contractor will provide expert technical advice and assistance in the areas of:

• Quality Assurance (QA),
• Audits and assessments,
• Safety
• Security
• Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) site operations,
• Environmental and regulatory compliance,
• Scientific and international programs,
• Transuranic (TRU) waste characterization and certification,
• TRU waste transportation and packaging,
• General business operations,
• Information technology, and
• Technical support

The current contract ends January 2015 and any future contract is anticipated to be for multiple years.
