Alan Shulik Celebrates Membership at Kehler Liddell Gallery

Alan Shulik is pleased to be a celebrated member of the Kehler Liddell Gallery.

GUILFORD, CT, USA, July 9, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Alan Shulik is proud to say that he is a member at the Kehler Liddell Gallery. He was inducted as a member due to his superior skills in photography and his dedication to the art.

"This really is a wonderful community to be a part of," Alan Shulik is quoted as saying. "Being an active and celebrated member of the Kehler Liddell Gallery is one of my proudest accomplishments as a photographer. I really feel as though I've gotten somewhere with my art, and that's always a great feeling.

Alan Shulik has been featured at the Kehler Liddell Gallery several times. The first time he was featured at this gallery was in 2009. At this point, he was featured for an individual exhibition that was titled Vanishing Points.

"I still remember the Vanishing Points exhibition," Alan Shulik says. "It was a very proud moment for me to be included among all of these fine artists."

The second time that Alan Shulik gained a spot at the Kehler Liddell Gallery was in 2011 when he had a photography exhibit called Double Visions. Most recently, he was celebrated at the gallery in 2012 at a self-titled exhibit.

"Exhibiting my artistic work is incredibly exhilarating to me," Alan Shulik says. "I believe it is the same for all artists. While art can be made in a vacuum, the greatest joy is in sharing it. I have been so pleased to have been selected to show my work at the Kehler Liddell Gallery three times. Not only is that a respected gallery, it has a wonderful local history."

Eight local artists founded the Kehler Liddell Gallery back in 2003. Since then, it has represented 24 of Connecticut's emerging and mid-tier artists. It is meant to be a place to celebrate homegrown talent that is constantly budding. The gallery features several different kinds of art, including painting, printmaking, and, of course, photography.

"That is one of the most amazing things about the Kehler Liddell Gallery," Alan Shulik admits. "Not only do you get to work with fellow photographers, but you can also interface with people who work in all different artistic mediums. It's quite amazing to see what the current up-and-coming crop of artists is producing here in Connecticut."

The gallery is also dedicated to free speech and does not censor anything related to what its artists produce. It works to proliferate illuminating experiences through the lens of art so that the public can see inside the mind of the artists and the social commentary that he or she may be making.

The gallery is also dedicated to the liberation of artists and the foundation of an artistic salon where ideas may be freely experienced and shared. The gallery is open to the public to invite everyone in on the incredible discourse of art that is so rich in Connecticut.

"It is truly a unique community to be a part of," Alan Shulik continues. "I've gotten so much from showing my art at the Kehler Liddell Gallery, and not just exposure. The community is an enlightening place to be and a great place to expand upon artistic endeavors."
