Oil & Gas UK Comments on Honour for Senior Oil and Gas Civil Servant

Commenting on the news that Simon Toole, head of oil and gas licensing, exploration and development in the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Her Majesty The Queen in the Birthday Honours List, Malcolm Webb, Chief Executive of Oil & Gas UK, said: “Simon Toole has given outstanding service to the UK oil and gas industry where he is held in universal high regard in boardrooms across the country and abroad. This is extremely well deserved recognition of his commitment and dedication in working within government and the industry to maximise the economic recovery of our offshore oil and gas resource.”
