This means home buyers in communities such as DeBary, Sanford, Lake Mary, Longwood, Altamonte Springs, Maitland, and Winter Park will have easier commute access to downtown Orlando, potentially benefiting property values in those communities, according to Arbutine.
He says neighborhoods near the train stations should benefit the most from the new rail line.
"The SunRail trains are a big deal, especially in the communities surrounding the train stations, because they are going to make it more convenient to live in the surburban communities of Orlando and take the train to work," he says.
He says that workers will be able to get work done on their morning ride, adding an extra level of convenience as well.
Arbutine also notes that the trains are engineered to be fuel-efficient with a low footprint on the environment.
