Europe and Eurasia: 2014 U.S.-Czech Strategic Dialogue

On April 10, 2014, the U.S. Department of State, led by Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, hosted the 2014 U.S.-Czech Strategic Dialogue. Petr Drulak, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the Czech delegation.

The year’s Dialogue focused on: economic cooperation; energy diversification; joint programs to promote democracy, good governance, and civil society; and on transatlantic support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

The Strategic Dialogue was launched in 2008 to strengthen bilateral cooperation on political, security, economic, and human rights issues. The annual dialogue reaffirms the strong bilateral partnership based on shared values and democratic principles.
