WASHINGTON – On Wednesday February 26, the President will travel to St. Paul, Minnesota and deliver remarks at Union Depot to announce a new competition encouraging investments to create jobs and restore infrastructure as part of the President’s Year of Action.
The arrival and departure of Air Force One at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are open to pre-credentialed media, but closed to the public. The President’s remarks at Union Depot in St. Paul are open to pre-credentialed media and ticketed members of the general public. Ticket distribution information is included below.
Members of the media who wish to cover the arrival of Air Force One at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport should RSVP HERE by Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 9:00 AM EST/8:00 AM CST.
Members of the media who wish to cover the President’s remarks at Union Depot in St. Paul, Minnesota should RSVP HERE by Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 9:00 AM EST/8:00 AM CST.
Media outlets that wish to cover both events should plan on sending separate crews to the airport and the remarks, as a single crew will not be able to cover both events.
NOTE: Media RSVPs do NOT guarantee access. Confirmation emails will be sent out after the deadline to RSVP has passed.
Ticket Distribution Information for Members of the Public:
The event is free and open to the public.
General Public tickets will be distributed on Monday, February 24, beginning at 10:00 AM in Suite 120 of Union Depot.
One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited space, the White House will only be able to distribute a limited number of tickets.
Event Day Logistics
Public Entry: Main Entrance on E. 4th Street leading into the Head House of Union Depot
Public Parking: Limited parking is available on-site. Paid parking is available in the downtown area.
Doors Open: 11:30 A.M.
Tickets are required for entry. Tickets are not for sale or re-sale.
For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit personal items. No signs or banners are permitted. All attendees will go through airport-like security. No backpacks will be allowed in the venue (small bags of a size no greater than 12” x 12” will be permitted but subject to search). Containers of any kind, bottles, cans, guns, knives, pocket-knives, multi-tools, mace, pepper spray, or sharp objects of any kind, other weapons and other hazardous items are prohibited.
No overnight camping will be allowed on the premises at any time leading up to this event.

Media Pre-Set Time: All media with heavy/large equipment and live trucks must arrive at the Main Gate by 7:30 AM to be escorted on base. (All media with heavy/large equipment and sticks should preset equipment on-site. Live trucks MUST park and cable in at this time. Media will not have access to their equipment during the security sweeps from 8:30 AM – 11:50 AM).
Live Truck Parking: Directed on site.
Media Check-in: 11:50 AM – 12:20 PM. All media will check-in at the main gate and will be required to show photo identification for entry. Following check-in at the main gate, media will be escorted onto base.
Media Parking: Directed on-site.

Throw: 160 feet
Cable run: 150 feet
No wireless Internet, power or workspace is available.
NOTE: The arrival and departure of Air Force One is closed to the public.

Live Truck Parking: All live trucks should arrive at the below location by 8:00 AM for access to the live truck parking area.
Live Truck Parking Directions: Head east on Kellogg Boulevard E. and continue past N. Broadway until you reach the Highway 52 overpass. The entrance will be on the right directly under the overpass at the construction entrance (closest cross streets are Kellogg Boulevard E. and John Street). A security vehicle will be stationed at the entrance to escort trucks to the parking location.
Media Pre-Set Time: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM (All media with heavy/large equipment and sticks should pre-set equipment on-site. Live trucks MUST park and cable in during this time. Media will not have access to their equipment during the security sweeps from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM).
