Democracy, Human Rights, Refugees: Acting Assistant Secretary Zeya's Travel to Jakarta, Indonesia
Acting Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Uzra Zeya, will travel to Jakarta, Indonesia, February 15–18, 2014, as part of Secretary of State John Kerry’s delegation. While in Jakarta, she will meet with prominent members of civil society, including human rights, religious freedom, and labor rights activists. She will also meet with Government of Indonesia officials and will co-chair a meeting of the Democracy and Civil Society Working Group under the U.S.–Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership, in an effort to advance our cooperation with Indonesia on human rights, democracy, and government transparency priorities.
