UCLA Department of Design | Media Arts announces events for winter 2014
For events at the UCLA Broad Art Center's New Wight Gallery (Room 1100), EDA facility (Room 1250) or Game Lab (Room 3252), all-day parking ($12) and short-term parking (payable at pay stations) are available in Lot 3 (enter campus at Hilgard Avenue and Wyton Drive). All-day parking ($12) for events at the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) is available in Lot 9 (enter campus at the intersection of either Manning Avenue or Le Conte Avenue and Hilgard Avenue, or at the intersection of Westwood and Wilshire boulevards).

Anna Anthropy

Anna Anthropy is an American video game designer and critic who has developed a number of freeware games, including Mighty Jill Off, REDDER and Lesbian Spider Queens of Mars. She is a co-founder and associate editor of the magazine Gamer's Quarter.

Justin Manor, along with John Rothenberg and Eric Gunther, founded the art and technology studio Sosolimited in 2003. The three met at MIT, where, collectively, they studied physics, computer science, architecture, arts and music.

Lita Albuquerque

Lita Albuquerque is an internationally renowned installation and environmental artist, painter, and sculptor. She has developed a visual language that brings the realities of time and space to a human scale and is acclaimed for her ephemeral and permanent artworks executed on the landscape and at public sites. (This event is sponsored by the UCLA Art|Sci Center.)
GAME LAB LECTURES & EVENTS
The Game Lab is holding an ongoing gathering called Unity Club, where beginners can learn the basics while experienced developers can tackle more difficult problems and meet and work with other programmers. All are welcome.
