FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 12, 2013 - Pin Hsiao Associates, LLC of Bellevue, Washington is recalling the Gluten Free Blueberry Mini Muffins 12pk, because it may contain undeclared walnuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Gluten Free Blueberry Mini Muffins 12pk was distributed in Washington and Oregon. Customers would have been able to purchase this product through retail grocery stores.

This product comes in a rigid PET plastic locking clamshell with 12 wells for muffin stabilization. The container dimensions are as follows: 9 x 6.5 x 2.5. The product will have a dark blue sleeve type label with product name:

No illnesses or customer complaints have been reported to date.

The voluntary recall was initiated by the manufacturer after it was discovered that the muffins were mistakenly produced with walnuts and were distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of tree nuts.

People who are allergic to walnuts should not consume this product and may either destroy, or return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
