Jeppesen will be highlighting its flagship C-MAP 4D cartography and new compatible chartplotters during the 2013 Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS), 19-21 November in Amsterdam. Jeppesens latest release of C-MAP 4D includes expanded High Resolution Bathymetry coverage for Northern European waters. Jeppesens exclusive High Resolution Bathymetry provides boaters and fishermen with the highest available level of detail for offshore canyons, depressions, pinnacles and other bottom features. This exclusive picture of the underwater world is especially useful for bluewater anglers, as the irregularities in the seafloor create deep-sea upwellings that concentrate baitfish and the pelagic gamefish that feed on them. Jeppesens new High Resolution Bathymetry charts are superior to standard cartography and other competitive products and are even a major advancement over previous C-MAP bathymetric charts for the region.

On the compatibility front, the big news is two new-for-2014 Multi-Function navigators from Humminbird. Both the 8.4 and 10.4 ONIX Series and 10.4 and 12.1 ION Series systems are compatible with C-MAP 4D cartography. Both feature Humminbirds Cross Touch user interface, for versatile performance and easy control of 4Ds advanced charting features. The ION Series is a powerful tool for saltwater anglers and navigators, with advanced sonar, autopilot and radar integration, Ethernet and NMEA2000 networking, and Internet browsing. The ONIX Series brings freshwater anglers new levels of integrated navigation and sonar capabilities, driven by C-MAP 4D cartography.

C-MAP 4D is also compatible with two of the newest chartplotters from Furuno the 5.7 display GP-1670 and 7 display GP-1870. Both are also available with built-in echosounders, providing fishermen with a powerful combination for navigation and fishfinding. These affordably priced plotters feature accurate 50-channel GPS receivers with standard built-in antennas and bonded, color TFT LCD displays with special Anti-Reflective (AR) glass filters for superior visibility on open boats. These brilliant, sharp color displays are ideal for displaying the rich chart detail provided by C-MAP 4D, whether navigating to the fishing grounds or pinpointing offshore structure.

Boaters can also experience C-MAP 4D on two innovative charting systems from Standard Horizon the 7 display CPN-700i and the 10.1 display CPN-1010i. Recent upgrades to these touch-screen multi-media navigation systems deliver an improved online and entertainment experience in the marina combined with a state-of-the art navigation and fishing experience using C-MAP 4D.

To help boaters take full advantage of C-MAP 4Ds High Resolution Bathymetry and navigation charts, the CPN-700i and CPN-1010i feature 50-channel GPS receivers and bonded, sunlight viewable displays for superior clarity in real-world conditions. Touch-screen capabilities make it easy and intuitive to zoom, rotate and tilt the charts or scroll between various navigation pages.
