Europe and Eurasia: Travel of Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism to Ukraine

Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism Ira Forman will visit Ukraine November 12-15, 2013 for meetings with religious, government, and community leaders to discuss and encourage efforts to combat anti-Semitism and promote religious freedom. In addition to Kyiv, the Special Envoy will travel to Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv to visit Jewish heritage sites and the campus of the Ukrainian Catholic University. In Dnipropetrovsk, he will tour the Menorah Cultural and Community Center and meet with local government officials. In Kyiv, SEAS Forman will meet the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, tour Babyn Yar, and meet with representatives of Jewish organizations and scholars of Holocaust studies programs.
