FabTrol Pro Version 2.1 upgrade adds a production batch builder and material management and internationalization enhancements

EUGENE, OREGON, USA, July 31, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The recent release of FabTrol Pro Version 2.1 from FabTrol Systems, a global provider of steel fabrication management solutions, comes on the heels of the company’s recent release of powerful production and project management tools in FabTrol Pro Version 2.0, released in May.

This recent upgrade release includes new production, purchasing, material management and internationalization capabilities.

Production

A Production batch builder allows fabricators to group assemblies together as needed to process them through production and plan batches knowing that assemblies only become available to production after the batch is issued.

Purchasing

Enhancements allow fabricators to manage additional charges and taxes. Additional charges (e.g., cutting, freight, labor, etc.) can be added to a purchase order and distributed to selected lines, one line or all lines on a PO. This additional charge distribution is carried forward to the stock system. Taxes can be applied to up to five unique tax rates (e.g., labor, freight, materials, etc.) to all or to specific PO lines. Taxes can also be combined in a variety of ways, including the option to calculate taxes on taxes.

Material management

Nesting enhancements include a parts-to-cut report that shows parts in the filter before a nesting solution is generated to facilitate quote requests for unnested material. An enhanced material database import accommodates more information about material being imported, including designation of purchasable-size lists.

Stock system enhancements allow satisfied test requirements (e.g., CVN-1, UT Grid, etc.) to be associated with individual stock lines, while providing convenient editing of stock information in a dedicated form rather than only in the stock grid.

Bill of materials changes allow fabricators to assign project-level billing codes to assemblies and parts, and new reports provide recaps by billing code and assembly type.

Internationalization

All reports now view and print to the international A4 paper size, and local currency handling has been enhanced.
