International Tax Enforcement to be Examined During ABA Section of Taxation Conference in New York
WASHINGTON, Oct. 24, 2012 — The surge of tax enforcement activity by governments around the globe is having an increasing impact on practitioners and their clients doing business abroad. With this as a backdrop, leading tax experts will provide a window into current international tax enforcement rules and procedures during an American Bar Association conference Nov. 8-9 in New York.
The conference, sponsored by the ABA Section of Taxation — along with the International Bar Association’s Taxes Committee and the Tax Executives Institute Inc. — will take place at the Grand Hyatt New York.
H. David Rosenbloom, the James S. Eustice Visiting Professor of Taxation and director of the International Tax Program at New York University School of Law, will serve as the keynote speaker on the first day of the conference.
Additional speakers include IRS officials, U.S. Department of Justice representatives, international tax ombudsmen, private practitioners and in-house tax counsel from around the world, and corporation executives.
