Question: Secretary Kerry announced in his remarks today that the United States is doubling aid to UNHCR. What is this funding specifically for, and does it include any funding for Syria, either new or previously announced?

Answer: Today Secretary Kerry announced that the United States is providing an additional $415 million in funding to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in support of life-saving activities worldwide.
