WASHINGTON, D.C., June 6, 2013 — Legal experts will weigh in on current topics in the electronic gaming industry during the Video Games and Digital Media Conference hosted by the American Bar Association Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries on June 10 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

Panelists, including representatives from Electronic Arts, NBCUniversal and Microsoft, will delve into issues such as copyrights in apps and independent games and the intersection between video gaming and online gambling.

“Videogame Copyrights — Everything Old Is New Again” — Experts will explore copyrights in apps and independent games, including the cases of Tetris v. Xio and Spry Foxx v. Lolapps. Monday, June 10, 10 – 11 a.m.

“Cross Media Exploitation of Game Properties” — Panelists will discuss the business and legal challenges that arise when exploiting content across multiple entertainment and media platforms.
