Youth, Students, and Educators: Japan's Children's Day
On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I am delighted to send best wishes to the people of Japan as you celebrate Children’s Day this May 5.
Today, the future of our children shines brightly. When I spoke with TOMODACHI Youth in Tokyo last month, I was inspired by their stories of personal growth and international engagement.
This next generation will be our future leaders, and the lasting relationships they build today will ensure that the United States and Japan maintain close bonds of friendship for years to come.
As parents and children spend this day strengthening the ties of family, we reflect on the strong ties that unite our two countries.
As you celebrate this important day dedicated to children and their future, the United States joins you in wishing the next generation a brighter tomorrow.
