Sen. Orrin Hatch to Address Renewed Effort for Tax Reform at American Bar Association Section of Taxation May Meeting

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 7, 2013 — U.S. Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) will address attendees of the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation May Meeting May 11 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. Hatch will provide a keynote address detailing his predictions for tax reform in the 113th session. Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus last month announced that he will not seek another term and listed tax reform as one of his priorities for his final 18 months in office. 

While representing Utah as the most senior Republican in the Senate, Hatch also serves as the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Finance and a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee and the Joint Committee on Taxation.
