Tate & Lyle rolls out OPTIMIZE® platform in Europe
From today Tate Lyle will roll out across Europe its innovative service to help manufacturers create more cost effective recipes for their products. The company’s OPTIMIZE® platform is aimed at improving manufacturers existing brands as well as their future ones, by developing formulas that cost less but taste just as good.
Although consumers are becoming increasingly price conscious, Tate Lyle’s latest consumer research has shown that they continue to expect the same quality of product.
Backed by a wide ingredient portfolio, strong technical capabilities and formulation expertise, Tate Lyle has developed a range of sweetening and texturising solutions which allow manufacturers to meet the public’s heightened expectations.
Commenting on the announcement, Caroline Sanders, Marketing Director Food Industrial Ingredients, Europe, of Tate Lyle said, “Innovation is at the very heart of what we do at Tate Lyle. In response to the global economic slowdown, consumers have clearly become more conscious about what they buy. Our OPTIMIZE® concepts meet that need.
“Our application experts do wonders building cost effective recipes with top class ingredients like fructose, SPLENDA® Sucralose, glucose-fructose syrups, starches, hydrocolloids and fibres. We are now offering manufacturers across Europe the ability to reduce the costs of their recipes without compromising on taste in any way. In short, OPTIMIZE® will help to keep their customers happy and their business in shape.”
Tate Lyle’s €4 million Health Wellness Innovation Centre in Lille, France, has specifically been designed to include several state-of-the-art pilot application areas where clients can perfect ingredients solutions across a range of areas and this is at the centre of the OPTIMIZE® service.
Tate Lyle will be exhibiting a range of its refreshing OPTIMIZE® prototypes at drinktec 2009 in Munich from 14-19 September, stand B1.325-2. Manufacturers will have the chance to taste a series of innovative juice drink, soft drink and shandy concepts and to learn about the cost savings that they can deliver.
