A complete agenda and other details are online.

Prepaid legal services are individual or group employee benefit plans in which members pay a monthly fee in exchange for access to a range of legal services. These legal plans typically offer certain services for a fixed monthly charge, such as legal advice and consultation, contract review, letter writing, drafting of wills and other legal documents, or other services as outlined in the plan. Similar to a health insurance PPO, group legal makes access to important legal services available to the middle class.

With nearly 400,000 members, the American Bar Association is one of the largest voluntary professional membership organizations in the world. As the national voice of the legal profession, the ABA works to improve the administration of justice, promotes programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredits law schools, provides continuing legal education, and works to build public understanding around the world of the importance of the rule of law.

Reporters are invited to cover the 2013 API Annual Conference on Prepaid Legal Services sessions free of charge. For media credentials, contact Ira Pilchen, 312-988-5743, Ira.Pilchen@americanbar.org.
