FreedomWorks Responds to President Obama’s “April Fool’s” Budget

Washington, DC- Following the release of President Obama’s budget plan, FreedomWorks Vice President of Public Policy, Dean Clancy, released the following statement:

“Is this a belated April Fool’s joke? Not only was the President’s budget turned in after both houses of Congress passed their respective budget plans, but it proposes to hike taxes by another trillion dollars, never balances, and manages to increase spending next year by $154 billion.”

In 2011 and 2012, the President’s budget received zero votes in the Senate.

Clancy added, “The President may be going 3-for-3 in the Senate this year. It would be laughable if we weren’t over $16.5 trillion in national debt.”
