International Investigation Now - Systematic Ethnic Based Human Rights Violations of Tamils Escalate: Booklet by TGTE

/EINPresswire.com/ - New York: March 7, 2013:

Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) is releasing a booklet: "International Investigation Now - Systematic Ethnic Based Human Rights Violations of Tamils Escalate."

This booklet is designed to highlight the need for an International Commission of Inquiry and to coincide with the current UN Human Rights Council Session and a draft Resolution released by the US.

This Booklet is a follow up to the first booklet titled “We Accuse: War Crimes and Genocide - A Brief for an Independent International Investigation.”(Link: www.tgte-us.org ). The first Booklet was released during the last year’s UN Human Rights Council Session, when a Resolution was passed on Sri Lanka’s accountability.

This second Booklet analyses the first Resolution passed in 2012 and related activities that took place in that Session. It further documents Sri Lankan Government’s actions and inactions on accountability since the last Resolution was passed, as well as UN’s steps and international community’s actions.

It further documents ethnic based human rights violations of Tamils since the last Resolution and a section on whether it is realistic to expect accountability through domestic mechanisms.

It argues for the crime of genocide and concludes by calling for an International Commission of Inquiry.
