UKOOA CONFIRMS NEW FISCAL AND GAS APPOINTMENTS

The UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA), the trade body representing offshore oil and gas producers in the United Kingdom, has appointed two managers to its Economics and Commercial Directorate to handle fiscal and gas affairs.

David Odling, who has been with the Association since November 1998, is confirmed in his role as Gas and Commercial Issues Manager, while Agustin Rivara starts with UKOOA as Fiscal Issues Manager on 23 February. Both posts report to Economics and Commercial Director Mike Tholen and are based in London.

UKOOA Chief Executive Malcolm Webb said:

I am delighted to confirm these two key appointments for UKOOA. David and Agustin will provide the necessary high level of technical expertise which will enable the Association to engage more fully in two areas of strategic importance to the UK oil and gas industry; taxation and natural gas.

The appointments strengthen the UKOOA team and place it better to serve the diverse interests of our members as oil and gas development on the UK Continental Shelf moves through the mature phase of its life.
