Oil & Gas UK welcomes AAIB's initial report on fatal North Sea helicopter accident
Responding to the publication of the AAIB's initial report on the fatal helicopter accident on 1 April 2009 in the North Sea, Chris Allen, Oil & Gas UK's health and safety director, said:
We welcome the speed with which the AAIB has issued its initial report and Oil & Gas UK is of course committed to sharing the findings and ensuring the recommendations are implemented. One of the functions of the newly created Helicopter Accidents Issues Task Group, which will meet for the first time next week, is to assist in doing just that."
