PILOT Share Fair 11 provides unique business opportunities for SMEs
Bookings for the PILOT Share Fair 11 one to one sessions open today (Tuesday 15th September) with a record number of oil and gas companies available for one to one business meetings this year. The sessions provide a unique opportunity, especially in the current economic environment, for small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to build relationships with key contacts from some of the major operators and contractors in the UK oil and gas industry. It is an opportunity for suppliers to gain valuable insight into what purchasers are looking for, find out who the key contacts are within the purchasing organisation, and test receptiveness to new business solutions.
This year, due to high demand, a total of 816 pre-booked private sessions are now available for delegates attending the event which is being held on Wednesday, 4 November 2009 at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre.
Malcolm Webb, chief executive of Oil & Gas UK, said: "The ground breaking one to one sessions that have been developed by Oil & Gas UK are now a central part of the PILOT Share Fair. More leading companies than ever before have agreed to participate this year. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for smaller suppliers to meet with some of the larger companies they might not engage with face to face in the normal course of events. In the current economic climate, this unique opportunity to put your case directly could be invaluable."
Lindsay Young, UK operations director for RBG Ltd, said: "In this challenging economic climate, it is particularly important to identify and understand forthcoming industry opportunities to ensure that your company is best positioned to maximise growth. The PILOT Share Fair one to one sessions are an ideal vehicle for gaining much of this background information, in a time effective manner."
The sessions are highly popular and are in great demand year on year; all Share Fair delegates can book up to three one to one sessions with a supply chain representative and this year the 17 companies available are: AGR Petroleum, Amec, Apache North Sea Ltd, BG Group, BP, Fairfield Energy Limited, Halliburton, Nexen, Petro-Canada, Petrofac, PSN, Shell U.K. Limited, Talisman Energy, TAQA, Technip, Total and Wood Group.
Delegates who have already registered for PILOT Share Fair 11, sponsored by CAN, will be contacted by Oil & Gas UK and appointments will be made on a first come first served basis. Further details and information on how to register are available from the Oil & Gas UK website at www.oilandgasuk.co.uk.
