Muscletech Hydroxystim (Australia):

- Reason for Warning
- The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) warned consumers not to purchase or use this product after it was found to contain 1,3-dimethylamylamine (DMAA), a drug that is not approved for sale in Canada. The Australian distributor has recalled all batches of Muscletech Hydroxystim capsules. The product can be identified by the Australian registration number on the label: AUST L 187422.
The batch numbers are:
- 0102J1 (3-capsule sample pack) 0209K1 (18-capsule bottles) 0210K1 (110-capsule bottles) 0211K1 (200-capsule bottles)
The batch number is displayed on the bottom of the product's bottle and on the side of the 3-capsule sample pack. The expiry date for these batches is 9 November 2013.
Please note that there is a Canadian product with a very similar name, but different ingredients, according to the labelling. Only the Australian product is affected by this recall.
- Possible Side-Effects
- Side-effects associated with DMAA include high blood pressure, shortness of breath, chest pain, stroke and psychiatric disorders.
