New Book on Teens Self Esteem Rockets To #1 Position on Amazon Best Seller List

Burn survivor Kelly Falardeau and coauthor Martin Presse team up to empower teens with strategies for building great self esteem in a new book, "1000 Tips for Teens."

/EINPresswire.com/ EDMONTON AB -- While it's true that teens don't come with instruction manuals, there is now one available on Amazon! Living through the tween and teen years can be quite a challenge, and that was made apparent when a new book by Kelly Falardeau and Martin Presse titled "1000 Tips for Teenagers" rocketed to Amazon's Parenting and Family Reference best seller list just three days after it's November 20th release.

The book takes a "village" approach to raising teens -- sharing tried and true inspirational tips from 120 authors who have lived through the trenches of the teenage years.

"1000 Tips for Teenagers" is available for $19.99 on Amazon: http://amzn.to/YwXzqF

Coauthor Kelly Falardeau knows first-hand how tough being a teen can be -- perhaps even more than most. After being burned on over 75% of her body kids relentlessly teased, bullied, and taunted her, calling her "the ugly scar-faced girl."

Despite the years of continual rejection, Falardeau found the strength within herself to emerge as a confident, successful leader and influencer. Today, Falardeau is an internationally recognized motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and author of two books: "No Risk No Rewards," which tells the story of her journey from near death to success and "Self Esteem Doesn't Come in a Bottle," in which she teaches others the strategies she used to developed great self-esteem and transform her life.

Just last month, Falardeau received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal -- a Canadian award that serves to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country and honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.

Falardeau was nominated for the award by the offices of the Minister of Rona Ambrose because of her work in empowering teens.

"Martin and I feel that, despite the massive effort being put into anti-bullying campaigns, teens are tuning out the message. Bullying is alive and well in schools and its effects can be absolutely devastating to young people. Our goal was to take the opposite approach -- to empower teens and teach them new strategies for great self-esteem regardless of outside influences," said Falardeau.

Along with writing the book, the two are organizing concerts and speaking events across Canada and the U.S. to connect with teens in a fresh, fun, and engaging way.
