/EINPresswire.com/ (Napa, CA) -Gaw Van Male, a law firm in Napa, CA that specializes in Wealth Preservation and Business Law, recently added six new lawyers to its team. GVM has been a pillar of the Napa Valley legal community for over 40 years, with a group of highly skilled and specialized lawyers. With an eye toward the firm's longevity, GVM has added a group of new lawyers to its already highly skilled and specialized team.
Most recently, GVM hired Molly Garhart as its Senior Intellectual Property Counsel. Molly, a former actress who appeared in Francis Ford Coppola's "Tucker", which was filmed in Napa, brings trademark experience that is unparalleled in the Valley. After graduating from University of Chicago Law School, Molly began her legal career as an intellectual property attorney at a leading international law firm. From there, she joined a major San Francisco law firm prosecuting domestic and international trademark applications and representing clients in complex trademark and other intellectual property disputes. Recently, Molly started her own law firm in San Francisco and has focused on managing trademark portfolios, prosecuting domestic and international trademark applications, developing trademark and branding strategies and pre-dispute resolution of infringement matters. Molly joins GVM as Senior Counsel of Intellectual Property, specializing in branding and trademark registration.
Robyn Christo, who joined in the firm in July of this year, is a California native who worked in the Napa Valley as a special events coordinator and wine educator before attending the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). Robyn has a background in general civil litigation and is a member of GVM's Wealth Preservation and Litigation teams. She specializes in handling contested probate and trust administration matters, as well as in trust and probate litigation. Although Robyn's legal career is just beginning, she's already been recognized by Northern California Super Lawyers as a Rising Star.
Jeffrey Stephens, who also joined the firm in July of this year, came to California for law school and immediately fell in love with Napa Valley. Jeff, who graduated from UCLA School of Law, is a member of GVM's Wealth Preservation and Tax teams, specializing in high-end estate planning and trust administration. Jeff brings a unique perspective and mix of experience to the GVM family.
James Haskell, the third attorney who joined the firm in July 2012, also grew up in California. James received his LLM from top-ranked Georgetown University Law Center, is a member of the firm's Wealth Preservation, Business, and Tax teams, and brings vast experience in these areas. James has also worked in the U.S. Senate and with his grandfather's cattle and grain exporting business.
Gantry Griffin, who joined the firm in January of this year, made the decision to go to law school after serving as an officer in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Gantry, who also serves as a part-time airline pilot, graduated third in his class from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2011. While in law school, Gantry received the ALI-ABA Scholarship & Leadership Award. Gantry is also a member of the Order of the Coif, a society that honors lawyers for their high academic accomplishments and is a member of GVM's Wealth Preservation team.
Elizabeth Nuss, who was sworn in as a member of the California State Bar today by the Honorable Diane Price, Presiding Judge of the Napa County Superior Court, was born and raised in Sonoma County, California. During law school, Elizabeth served as an editor of the Santa Clara Law Review and Vice President of the Labor and Employment Law Society. After graduating with Distinction from Santa Clara University, School of Law, Elizabeth returned to the wine country to join GVM's Litigation Team.
At least two more attorneys will join the GVM family in 2013. According to co-founder Dave Gaw, "The addition of these six attorneys to the GVM family will only further our goals of providing personal service in a friendly and approachable manner while being active participants in the community. We know our clients - and community - will be well served by them."
