Rarely Seen Remington Bronze Statues to Be Featured at the Sid Richardson Museum in Dallas, Texas

/EINPresswire.com/ To celebrate the 30th anniversary of a revered art museum in Dallas, Texas, nine infrequently seen Frederic Remington bronze statues will be highlighted at a special exhibition at the Sid Richardson Museum from November 8, 2012 to June 2, 2013.

Eight of the nine sculptures are from exclusive private collections, with the 9th sculpture on loan from the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. Along with the collection of Remington paintings already on display, guests get a detailed view into how Remington bronze statues bring proportion and movement into two dimensional works of art.

Frederic Remington bronze sculptures have long been revered as some of the most memorable and notable works of art by any American artist. His distinctive depiction of the American West was seared into the imagination of the public for many years. Throughout his career, he created 22 memorable bronze statues that captured the imagination of art lovers worldwide. With fluid motion seeming to leap off of Remington bronze statues and paintings, he was able to bring his vision to life in a variety of mediums.

When outfitting their own collections, today's art enthusiasts still turn to Frederic Remington's unique art and sculptures for a treasured view of the Wild West. The White House continues to select Remington art sculptures as State gifts for visiting leaders of other countries. Art Bronze, a leading supplier of high-quality bronze artwork, has supplied the White House with these esteemed pieces of art. They have also been responsible for outfitting public spaces across the United States.

"There really is a huge difference in quality between the Remington bronze sculptures we cast here compared with those you see for sale on the Internet that are usually cast outside the United States," said Ian Killips, owner of Art Bronze. "Besides the differences in fidelity to Remington's original casts that can be easily seen with the eye, the imported sculptures are often cast from a metal that can rust and even fall apart in a few years. If a sculpture is something you want to look at and enjoy for a long time, it's worth the extra cost to purchase one cast here."

With a distinctly American flair, Remington bronze statues are a treasured part of America's unique history.
