The Latest Scoop Ginger Pear Sorbet, in its distinctive new pint container, has just been named a 2012 sofi™ New Product Silver Finalist. The sofi Awards are considered the top honor in the $75 billion specialty food industry. Gold Award winners will be announced later this month.
Treasured by great chefs along the West Coast for more than three decades, Cable Car Delights' gelatos and sorbets—under the brand names The Latest Scoop and Figaro Organic Gelato—are now available retail.

Blakeney uses the finest ingredients, such as vanilla extracts from Madagascar, hazelnut, pistachios and caramel from Italy and mangos from India—all blended with rich dairy to bring out the finest flavors. He employs a no-air process that makes his gelato and sorbet pints heavier than a pint of traditional ice cream.
The Latest Scoop gelatos and sorbet pints are now available in eight flavors at Nugget Markets' nine full-service grocery stores that serve the Greater Sacramento community. The stores carry Mexican Chocolate, Peaches & Cream, Caramel Balsamic and Peanut Butter Chocolate gelatos and Ginger Pear, Blackberry Cabernet, Blueberry Pinot Noir and Watermelon sorbets.
Vanilla Bean, Pumpkin, Chocolate, Coffee Dutch Almond and Vanilla Dutch Almond Figaro Organic Gelato pints and Raspberry and Blackberry Figaro Organic Sorbet pints are sold at Berkeley Bowl and Chow Restaurant and Bar.
