Dr. Barbara Knox, MD, is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Florida and a board-certified specialist in General and Child Abuse Pediatrics. She directs fellowships in Child Abuse Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine and serves as a Child Protection Team physician. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, Barbara Knox MD trained at Mayo Clinic and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Her research centers on child torture and complex maltreatment, and she is widely published on topics such as abusive head trauma and burns. She also advises federal agencies on child protection.
