Adam Lapierre, MW Joins Wine and Spirits Investing Platform Vint as Director of Wine

RICHMOND, Va., June 21, 2022 /BUSINESS WIRE/ --

Vint, the first SEC-qualified and fully transparent platform for wine and spirits collection investing, announced today the appointment of Master of Wine (MW) Adam Lapierre as Director of Wine. Adam has been a certified MW since 2013, one of only 57 people in the United States to hold the certification.

Adam, who brings over 20 years of wine expertise to the role, will lead the expansion of Vint’s network of producers, partners, and suppliers to source fine wine and spirits at scale. He will also be tasked with developing collection themes, exiting wine collections for optimal investment return, and creating new products for Vint’s partners.

Nick King, cofounder and CEO said, “As Vint enters the next phase of growth, Adam’s deep roots in the industry will be instrumental in helping to scale our networks and build new relationships. His technical expertise and broad experience in strategic sourcing and distribution will be an asset for both our partners and users.”

Adam joins Vint from Vinfolio, where he served most recently as President, and previously held roles including Chief Wine Officer and Director of Procurement, Fine Wine. During his time at Vinfolio, he drove national adoption of the fine wine marketplace which focuses on direct-to-consumer sales of rare and collectible wines. Prior, he served as Director of Purchasing at retailer Lidl, and before that, National Sales Manager at Frederick Wildman and Sons, one of America’s oldest and most prominent importers of fine wine.

Adam added, “I’ve long been an advocate for solving the inefficiencies and inequities in the wine industry, which is why I align so strongly with Vint’s mission to bring accessibility and transparency. I look forward to working with Nick to establish new ways to deliver on that mission and to support Vint’s growing presence in the market.”

Adam will continue to serve on Vint’s Investment Committee, which also includes MW Amy Christine, Kevin Sidders, and Miles Davis.
