(NASDAQ: ASTI) plans to launch an underwritten public offering of its common stock. Cowen and Co., LLC (NASDAQ: COWN) is acting as the sole lead underwriter.

The firm said it plans to use the net proceeds for the completion of a 30 megawatt FAB2 production plant and for general corporate purposes.
