December 10, 2009 (FinancialWire) — J. C. Penney Co., Inc. (NYSE: JCP) said its board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend on the company’s common stock of $0.20 per share. The dividend is payable Feb. 1, 2010, to company stockholders of record at the close of business on Jan. 8, 2010.
Texas-based JCPenney is a retailer operating 1,109 department stores throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
The company also sells apparel and home furnishing on the Internet, and operates a general merchandise catalog business.
