HAVERHILL, MA, USA, April 27, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- -- MD Johnson, Inc. announces the sale of Regan Ford in Haverhill Massachusetts to Autofair Automotive Group. The transaction completes the sale of one of the longest tenured dealership families in the US. Regan Ford started in 1944 on Water Street in downtown Haverhill by Frank Regan Sr and Joseph Regan and was operated by Frank Regan Jr. after his father’s death. Ann Regan, dealer principal, went to work in the dealership in 1980 selling cars for her father Frank Jr and over the next seven years mastered numerous positions in the dealership. In 1987, Ann’s father Frank Regan Jr. passed away and Ann Regan and her brother operated the dealership together. The dealership relocated to the interstate from downtown Haverhill in 1967 and the dealership recently celebrated its 70th year as an exclusive retailer of Ford Motor Company vehicles. The buyer of the dealership, Andy Crews and Walter WIck operate dealerships in Massachusetts and New Hampshire at multiple locations. Fred O Halloran of MD Johnson Inc managed the transaction for Ms. Regan. Ms. Regan commented that “Fred, Mark and their staff are clearly the best of the best when it comes to advising dealers on the sale of their stores”.
No sales price was disclosed .The dealership is to be renamed AutoFair Ford of Haverhill.
