The Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification Is For Real Estate Professionals Who Want To Work With Current And Former Military Service Members

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA, March 16, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Judy Bowen and her husband David have been Realtors in the Austin and surrounding areas since the early 1980’s. They are known as The Bowen Team of Texas. “I have lived all my life in Texas.” She says, “The early years were lived in the Richardson and Plano areas at a time when most of the surrounding areas were comprised of corn and wheat fields.”

Judy moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas where she received a degree in Social Work. She then proceeded to San Antonio and received a Masters of Social Work at Worden Graduate School of Our Lady of the Lake College. She returned to Central Texas to pursue her work as a therapist, specializing in working with sexually and physically abused children, however, she always had a love for Real Estate and decided to pursue it as a career.

She says, “Transitioning into Real Estate was a natural for me. My mother was a Realtor in the Dallas/Fort Worth area while I was growing up and my husband has been an active Realtor in Austin since the 1970’s. It’s an exciting business, ever changing and always interesting.”

The City of Austin is also exciting, interesting and full of activities. It is known as "The Live Music Capital of the World”, a reference to the many musicians and live music venues within the area. There are also many annual cultural events that are hosted in Austin, such as South by Southwest and the Austin Film Festival. It is home to over 50 golf courses nestled among rolling hills and lakes, and the mild winters make it the ideal environment to play virtually year-round.

Judy is as knowledgeable about Austin as any lifetime resident. Her love for Austin and the surrounding areas, her appreciation of the wonderful outdoor and cultural opportunities that exist; and her experience in raising two children, Rhett and Katie, in the community enable her to provide a well- rounded and invaluable service to both buyers and sellers, including Military families – which is the reason she obtained her Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification.

The State of Texas is well represented in the United States Armed Forces and supports a large Military community with more than 1.7 million Veterans living throughout the State.

In fact, Austin is home to the Texas Military Forces Museum which tells the story of the Texas Army and Air National Guard.
