Fredline Ciril of House of New Vision and Hope to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

DAVIE, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, February 5, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Fredline Ciril is the founder of House of New Vision and Hope, a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children in the rural population of Haiti by providing them with education, nutrition, and life skills necessary to better their future. With the help of our sponsors; House of New Vision and Hope pays for these children to attend schools and provides them with all their school supplies, books, uniforms. They also feed them one meal a day.

“Our mission is to support as many children as possible and remove their educational barriers,” says Mrs. Ciril. “I would like them to receive an education that will help them not just to read and write, but to learn how to be an active part of their community. We want to teach them how to use what they learn to serve others and give back just like we are giving back by helping their community.”

What began in 2016 with just six children has since grown to 35 sponsored children. The children range in age from five to 13 years old and for many of them this is the first time they have gone to school.

All those children live in the countryside and may wake up and spend their entire day by the river throwing rocks, says Mrs. Ciril. Many parents leave their children with grandparents or other family and travel to the Dominican Republic illegally to try to work to help the family. Sadly, a lot of these parents get killed or go missing in the Dominican Republic.

“We're trying our best to help these families and to help these children,” said Mrs. Ciril.

Born in Haiti, Mrs. Ciril grew up on the western side and every summer she would visit her grandparents in Cap-Haïtien.

“When you're on summer break all you talk about is the school year, what you did in school, what grade you're going to next. I realized none of those kids could tell us anything about school,” recalls Mrs. Ciril. “They'll tell you, ‘Oh, I didn't go to school this year. My mom didn't send me." The story was the same every year. I always said, ‘When I grow up, I'm going to build a school in Mornet.’”

And Mrs. Ciril is doing just that. This year, HNVH’s goal is to open a school in the area to serve more children in need and it will all be free for all of them. HNVH now has 60 children on its waiting list. Sponsorship is only $25/month or $300/year.

“I feel proud when I go and I look at the children and see the happiness on their faces,” says Mrs. Ciril. “And the children feel so connected with the sponsors, like this is a mother or a father to them. That makes me happy, how they feel connected to the people who are sponsoring them. Every time you tell somebody about the work, they see it as positive, something we really need in Haiti. If we can help educate one child, that can help the environment and the world.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Fredline Ciril in an interview with Jim Masters on February 7th at 11am EST.
