1000 men expected to learn this month they are not the father

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM, January 23, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- “Jeremy Kyle’s DNA testing laboratory has forecasted that by the end of January, around 1000 men in the UK are likely to have received the shocking news that they are not the father of their alleged child.

AlphaBiolabs, which carries out all DNA tests for the TV show, is currently processing an exceptionally high number of parental tests this month, and it anticipates that around 4000 tests will have been processed by all UK laboratories by the beginning of February. Past trends have shown that of these, approximately 25 percent or 1000 tests will prove conclusively that the man tested is not the father of his alleged child.

The Warrington laboratory is the largest DNA paternity testing laboratory in the UK. Director David Thomas says: “January is always one of our busiest months, which may be related to the fact that in recent years, it has become known as the peak time for divorce petitions. Even taking into account this trend however, we are currently seeing a 24 percent increase of DNA samples presented for processing based on our monthly average, which is an astounding figure”.

The laboratory recently won a Queen’s Award for its next day DNA testing service; now the fastest in the world. It was also credited last year for closing a loophole which may have cost UK businesses millions each year in lost wages, whilst waiting for workplace drug test analysis results”.
