A booster compressor (pumping) station forms the technological part of an on-site oil and gas collection and subsequent transportation system, also fulfilling the function of separating oil from gas and cleaning gas of liquid carryover, subsequently allowing these hydrocarbons to be transported separately.
Gazprom Neft commissions new booster compressor station at its Archinskoe field
Gazpromneft-Vostok, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, has commissioned a booster compressor (pump) station, together with a preliminary water discharge unit, at its Archinskoye field. First-phase commissioning of the compressor station will allow the treatment of up to 500,000 tonnes of drilling fluid per year; once construction is completed, the compressor station will have a total capacity of 1.7 million tonnes. The station will be taking in crude oil from the Archinskoye, Smolnoye, Kulginskoye, Yuzhno-Tabaganskoe and Solonkovskoye fields, all located in the Tomsk Oblast, operator of which is Gazpromneft-Vostok.

Construction of the Archinskoye compressor station has been ongoing since the end of 2015, with project implementation being undertaken solely by Russian contractors and suppliers. The computer-integrated production facility at the compressor station uses the most cutting-edge equipment, fully compliant with all of Gazprom Neft’s current production and environmental safety standards.
