*****BARGAINING UPDATE******

UAW Local 6000’s bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with the state of Michigan in contract negotiations regarding wages and benefits for the two-year period beginning Oct. 1, 2017. The tentative agreement for the UAW members working for the state of Michigan includes wage increases in both years of the contract. In addition, there is no increase in costs or loss of any benefits in their insurance. UAW Local 6000 members will receive a 3 percent wage increase on Oct. 1, 2017, and a 2 percent wage increase on Oct. 2, 2018, pending ratification. Complete details will be available soon. Building and district meetings will be held for Local 6000 members around the state to explain this tentative agreement.
