As TRID changes are approaching, local Fort Myers Title Company owner volunteers to help prepare local realty offices.

Jennifer says, "Though these rules are in full effect beginning October 3rd of this year, you won’t actually begin to see the repercussion of these changes until November or December." This is due to the fact that the start date of the new rulings is dependent once the application is taken. So, in other words, if a loan application is filed on October 2nd, their closing process will differ incredibly in comparison to those filing a loan application on or after October 3rd.

In addition to this, the majority of change for the closing process and adapting to these new TRID policies are for residential properties. Commercial properties and cash sales do not need to adapt to any changes.

Hands were raised all throughout the seminar as there are many factors to take into consideration before setting an actual closing date for you and any of your parties associated within a real estate transaction. Jennifer also gave local realtors tips on what to start doing now to prepare themselves when explaining this to their own clients.

She has also stressed the idea to local realtors that communication has always been a key point of criteria within this industry but needs to be especially taken note of throughout the transition into the newly implemented TRID changes. If communication is not fluent, a closing date may be at risk.
