PT AAPEG form new partnership with leading Batam Marine Group PT Bahtera Bahari

BATAM, RIAU, INDONESIA, August 19, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Anglo Asia Pacific Engineering Group are pleased to announce the signing of an MOU with a leading Batam based marine contractor PT Bahtera Bahari Shipyard.

The partnership was formed with the express purpose of developing part of the PT BBS owned 52 hectare Kabil Yard as an Oil & Gas Fabrication Facility/Offshore Support Base.

The group will be actively pursuing projects in the FPSO/FLNG/FSRU/MOGPU/MOPU industry, offering facilities to fabricate and fit out Deck Equipment and Topside Modules up to 2000T, this will increase as more land is compacted and reinforced concrete pads laid.

The group will be offering 'one stop' project construction and completion with all Fabrication, Piping and Steel Construction carried out by PT BBS, and Electrical, Instrumentation, Rotating Equipment,Process and Control Systems installed by PT AAPEG.

All Oil & Gas Project Management, QA/QC, Mechanical Completions, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Project Information Management Systems (PIMS)and Data Processing will be carried out by PT AAPEG.

PT AAPEG E/I department have extensive experience installing HV/LV Switchgear, MCCS, Transformers, UPS, Control Room outfitting and PLC/Data systems etc. in FPSO EHouses, CCRs, Power Packages and Process Control Rooms.

PT AAPEG have also been involved with implementing and operating advanced Project Information Management Systems (PIMS) on several projects and now have in development a simplified software application based on commercially available Microsoft programmes.

The yard has an extensive sheet-piled 300mtr waterfront, a 200mtr wide, slow gradient reinforced concrete slipway. An inland 250 x 150mtr Construction Basin currently being dredged to achieve a 6mtr draft, the bay is accessed by a 75mtr wide canal.

The facility has a 70mtr draft anchorage 50mtr from the waterfront. This capability will eventually be developed to offer full topside installation, integration and hook up of vessels utilising work barges and pontoons.

The majority of the construction areas are compacted shale. There is an existing office/workshop/canteen block and the plans for a new 85 x 25 x 15mtr Fabrication Workshop with 2 x 25T overhead cranes have been approved, this will also include an extended covered area between the new workshop and existing buildings.

The yard has a comprehensive range of construction plant less than five years old, including 25 Crawler Cranes, Heavy Duty Fork Lifts and over 800 Welding Machines covering all formats and applications.

PT BBS also have full Marine Support available at the yard, including Harbour Tugs and Large High Quality Flat Top Barges suitable for construction support or conversion to Production Units or Power Barges.
